it has a dark ruby red colour with intense violet reflections. On the nose each element is characterized by elegance and softness.
On the palate it has a great body, soft and rich in noble tannins, with a vanilla and cocoa finish.
HISTORICAL AND TECHNICAL NOTES
"Sangaetano" sums up in its name the cooperative soul of Due Palme which, in 2012, incorporated a small social winery in Lizzano, the "SanGaetano" precisely, to expand its portfolio with the production of Primitivo di Manduria, as per vinified specification in the province of Taranto. Here the soil is particularly red due to the presence of iron oxides, with a calcareous and rocky substrate.
Always considered among the most important and popular Apulian reds both in Italy and abroad, Primitivo di Manduria presents itself as an extraordinary selection of grapes harvested early (hence the name Primitivo) and hand-picked in crates.
The wine is aged for 6 months in American oak barriques, to enhance the tannins and structure.
