Carbone Red Datterino

The red datterino is the fruit of one of the most fertile lands and rich in food production: the Piana del Sele in the province of Salerno.

The datterino has small dimensions, and a typical elongated "date" shape. Compared to other tomato varieties, it has a higher sugar content which can reach 12° Brix, the skin is extremely thin and has a firm and creamy pulp with an intense bright red colour.

Each bunch of datterino tomatoes is shaped like a fishbone and has 10 to 15 cherry tomatoes weighing around 40 g. each. It is rich in mineral salts, vitamin A and vitamin C with a repairing and regenerating action on all the cells of the body.

The datterino tomato is much appreciated for preparing simple sauces and for filling pizza without particular combinations in order to let the unmistakable sweetness be perceive
